A month or so ago, I embarked on a 21-day experiment with The Frame Technique. I learned it from an Aaron Doughty video and posted about it on my first day. Stay tuned and I'll tell you how to do it and share my results. The most POWERFUL meditation for SETTING BOUNDARIES. This meditation will allow you feel safe in your own frame so that is easier for you to set boundaries and let go of people pleasing patterns. Listen to this meditation for 21 days and see how your life transforms. - Aaron Doughty How to Do the Frame TechniqueThe Frame Technique involves breathing deeply and slowly, allowing yourself to fully relax. Then you stare intently at a candle flame while observing the distance between you and the flame and thinking about the distance between you and people with whom you need to set better boundaries. He suggested that on the inhale you notice distances and on the exhale, you look at the periphery of the candle. Here's What Happened for MeI listened to the actual meditation twice. Then I started doing it on my own. But I noticed that sometimes my relaxation was not as deep, so I lengthened the time for that, but also slowed down the voice in my head as I remembered him speaking s l o w l y. It definitely helps with my sense of self, and boundaries - meaning, where i end and someone else begins. I think it has helped with setting boundaries, too. In hindsight, I wish I had listened to the actual video meditation more often because I think there was something about the way he did it, that I did not replicate. What do you think? Is this something you might try? See you next time! Love, Jeanine

Joy is to be found in in stillness. To access it, you need to quiet the doubts, fears and other noise in your head, quiet down the noise of the world, and feel your connection to who you really are. Your deeper self is where joy resides. - Joanna Hennon This month will be dedicated to Christmas magic, and the joy of the season is part of that. But to fully experience it, you can't run at Christmas the way you might in your normal life. You'll have to slow down & create moments of stillness each day. I hope to share the Christmas magic here, but sometimes I need a break after a 30-day blog challenge, so we'll see how it goes.
